Description and main goals

The main objective of the project is to increase the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the profession of animator of the local environment, as well as to increase the interest of young people in this profession by developing a series of training and information materials aimed at young people in various EU countries.

Specific goals

  • Equipping young people with tools enabling them to acquire knowledge and skills useful in the profession of animator of the local environment
  • Increasing the awareness of young people about the possibility of working as an animator of the local environment and the specificity of work in this profession
  • Increased interest of young people in various EU countries in the profession of animator of the local environment

Implementation of the project

The activities planned as part of the project will focus on developing specific, practical results, addressed to people who would like to work as animators of the local environment.

Results

O1 – A publication containing the main information about the profession of an animator of the local environment, with its description, a list of skills needed in this job, specific tips on work organization, as well as a list of good practices with the use of non-standard training tools.

O2 – A collection of training materials supporting the development of soft skills of people who want to work or work as animators of the local environment. The materials will consist of a series of thematic webinars on individual competencies, as well as tests checking the knowledge of people participating in the webinars (in the form of pre-tests and post-tests, both to be performed by individuals and by the institution.

 O3 – A brochure addressed to young people, containing basic information about what a local community animator does, what competences he should have, where to acquire them and why it is worth getting interested in working in this profession.

We hope that in addition to measurable results, the project will also contribute to:

  • changes in the attitudes of young people, representatives of local communities, local non-governmental organizations towards the importance of the work of a local animator in the development of local communities

  • increasing professionalism in the performance of professional duties by people already working as animators of the local environment of animators thanks to the possibility of improving their soft skills

  • raising the standards of work of existing animators of the local environment.

  • development of at least several local communities thanks to the professional development of the animator of the local environment.
